Happy Sunday! It's Brett Favre Day in Wisconsin - Not So Much

When did my brother-in-law Dave become a Steelers' fan?

Dad says there's a time and place for everything. He says that we can climb on the tables and sit on the tables in college. Then he reminded us that we're not in college right now. We're at least 17-years from that.

My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. I get to eat cereal and enjoy Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Meredith, and others on the Today Show. Matt and Meredith are very talented broadcasters.

"Derek, what do you say we blow this joint?"

"Well, Spencer, where should we go?"

"Let's go to that sports bar on the corner of Weaver Lake and Elm Grove, up there by Cub Foods and watch some Badger football, Cougar football, UGA vs. UF, Talledega, and the World Series."

"Spencer, I don't like the Yankees."

"I know, Derek, but when the Yankees are in the World Series, it's interesting. Nothing is more boring than the Rockies against the Rays."

"OK, let's go."

"So, Spencer, what do you think of this Brett Favre game in Lambeau is going to be over-hyped?"

"Well, Derek, here's how I see it. It's kind of like the girlfriend dumped the guy. Now the guy is dating her best friend and she's not happy about it."

"Sounds like a soap opera to me."

"Or the WWF."

Happy Halloween!

We're in costume for Halloween! Derek is a teddy bear and Spencer is a Bat. Both of us fell asleep at 5:45 so no trick or treating for us.

Why did we fall asleep? Mom and Dad took us to Dave and Buster's for an early dinner and we ran all over the place. Lots of chairs to push, people to flirt with, and games to be entertained by.

Hey Spencer, am I a Chicago Bear? Boy, did that team look bad against Cincinnati last week. Maybe I'll change my name from Derek Paterson to Derek Cero-Ocho - that's Spanish for Derek 0-8!

I can do the slide in my jeans, overalls, and this silly Halloween costume.

Yeah, this is supposed to be a bat costume, but it kind of looks like an alien or some religious costume. Maybe you could call me the Purple Monk with a funky hat.

Preparing for landing. Too bad those Northwest pilots forgot that part of their job.

We just played on the last day of Daylight Saving Time and tomorrow at 4:30, it'll be dark. We can't wait for April!

Hey Spencer - slide down and then we'll go to find the candy dish for the neighbors!

Hockey Masks

Daddy got these hockey masks at the Wild game the other night. Both Spencer and I think we'll be hockey players since we live in Minnesota, except we'll be forwards because we're fast.

I look like an "Old-Time Hockey" Player in this mask. Maybe a little Don Cherry with some Hockey Night in Canada. You can call me Tony Esposito or Ed Belfour.

Derek - It's time to switch lines and we're headed to the bench. Hey D - did you know there's a pro hockey team in Atlanta? Me neither. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it make a noise?

Daddy thinks we're doing this for Halloween. I don't know why parents dress up kids under the age of 3 just for the adults enjoyment.

Pizza for Lunch

Derek is enjoying his pizza for lunch. It's his second favorite meal behind grilled cheese - except no American cheese. He has his mom's expensive tastes.

I'm a messy eater.

Derek lets us know what he thinks about us bugging him with a camera when he's trying to eat.

S & the Gate

Hey D, do you think I can get my head under the gate? I don't either.

D Climbing on the Couch

Mom says I'm a climber, I don't know where she gets that from?

Enjoying the Beautiful Afternoon

I don't know how many more nice days we're going to have, so we're taking advantage of every last one. We played outside for about 45 minutes this afternoon.

I brought their trucks outside to ride on.

They really love this slide, we're going to bring it inside for the winter.

They even helped me clean out the garage. I can almost get my car inside now. One more box to unpack and it will fit. We had to stop because it was dinner time.

Happy Halloween!

I finally got the Halloween decorations out with 5 days to go. Derek had to make sure they were deep enough in the ground. Spencer was more interested in the box that I store them in.

Nap Time or Play Time

I could hear the kids playing in their cribs for a while before they fell asleep this afternoon. When they woke up from their naps, this is what I found. I guess they were playing, "What else can I throw out of my crib?"
