Hockey Pucks

Bat

There is a bat on the tree behind our house.  Hopefully he'll eat all the mosquitos.

New Park

Mom took us to a new park yesterday. We had so much fun climbing and sliding. Some of the pictures didn't turn out too great because Mom is still trying to figure out the camera on her new phone. When we got home we saw a deer in the neighbor's yard.

D napping on Spaz

The Quarry

On Saturday, June 26, we went to the Quarry Park in St. Cloud. It's an old granite quarry that's been restored to a public mixed-use park with swimming, hiking, biking, diving, and more.

The boys went there for a trip and we started with a picnic before we went hiking.

There's some rasberries and cheese, says Spencer. I can eat a couple, then run around.

This is a big scoop where they used to move rocks and red granite.

My turn in the scoop!

I made a bet with Derek that i could move this big piece of granite.

Here's a big blade to cut the rock.

It looks like they didn't get all the rocks out of the quarry. Should we re-do the kitchen counters?

This big piece of rock is a perfect stage.

The view from the top of a rock pile. We're above the trees. Funny, mom and dad had to carry an extra 23-pounds up the steps.

Here's the swimming hole. The boys got dunked from the dock, but didn't get in. We didn't have life jackets for them and the water is 35-feet deep at the end of the dock. We weren't comfortable testing the bouyancy of the boys on a Saturday in St. Cloud.

After we got out of the water, we had to walk across this floating bridge.

Sunday in the park

Mommy wanted to go on a bike ride Sunday morning. So, Daddy took us to the park by the school. We went into the permanent hockey rink and ran around, plus we ate chocolate donuts. Spencer left some chocolate on his face.

We also showed off our hockey knowledge by pointing to the blue line. We'll be too small to be defenseman though.

Sandals

Derek put his sandals on all by himself this morning. Now we just need to work on getting them on the right feet.

Hat

I'm wearing a bowl on my head for breakfast.

Derek Is Ready To Go Somewhere

Derek really is a Mama's Boy wearing my shoes and carrying my purse.

Spencer Sleeping With His Pets

Spencer loves his dog and cats. Because he's so sick and miserable right now, after waking up every half hour until 1:20am, I just brought him in to bed with me. At some point I got up to check on Derek, when I got back Spencer had moved and I wasn't sure where I was supposed to sleep. I ended up crawling in bed with Derek.
